In the light of Scripture we know that God built His Church using His Son’s offering to form a new nation „a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.” (1 Peter 2:9). We do not exist for us, and if Lord and Church Leader made church to exist on earth, we must attain the purposes designated for the Church by it’s Leader. Though, we understand that the mission God has for His Church must chase three endpoints: Worshiping God (glorification), encouraging one another (edification) and spreading the Gospel (evangelization).
1. Worshiping God (glorification)
Base: Romans 15:6; Ephesians 1:4-6; 3:21; 2 Thessalonians 1:12; 1 Peter 4:11
Romans 15:6 „Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Ephesians 1:4-6 „Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.”
Ephesians 3:21 „Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.”
2 Thessalonians 1:12 „Then the name of our Lord Jesus will be honored because of the way you live, and you will be honored along with him. This is all made possible because of the grace of our God and Lord, Jesus Christ.”
1 Peter 4:11 „Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.”
